Nokia Rolls Out An Intense New Theatrical Trailer For Man Of Steel

by

man of steel bannerYesterday Nokia started teasing that something Man of Steel related was going to happen a little after high noon (Eastern Standard Time) today. The Kryptonian countdown has ended and it turns out they have the final full-length trailer for the Zack Snyder film. The TV spots have been playing up the action and truly epic scope of the film, but this trailer is a return to the heavy and intense nature of the reboot. There is a surprising amount of new footage considering the number of TV spots we’ve gotten recently. We see more of the destruction of Krypton, a confrontation between Zod and Jor-El, and a great shot of Kal-El‘s rocket going from his dying homeworld to that little cornfield in Smallville. Man of Steel finally lands in theaters June 14. What do you think of the new trailer?

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.
