Nicola Peltz Confirmed for Transformers 4
Whether you like it or not, a fourth film in the hugely successful Transformers franchise is headed our way. Michael “Boom Boom” Bay has signed on to direct, despite him saying he was done with the films. A while back, we learned that Mark Wahlberg would be leading the new film, a casting that came about due to a rumor that spread like wildfire on the internet. Not long after that, we learned that Jack Reynor, a rather unknown actor would be playing the race car loving boyfriend of Wahlberg’s teenage daughter. Right around that same time, it was rumored that Nicola Peltz was up for that role, but no confirmation ever came. Until now.
Michael Bay confirmed via his personal blog that Peltz would indeed be starring in the film. Most people will know Peltz from M. Night Shyamalan’s attempt at bringing Avatar: The Last Airbender to the big screen. Currently, she plays one of the love interests for Norman Bates on A&E’s new hit series Bates Motel.
Filming is expected to begin soon, once Michael Bay finishes work on his latest film, Pain & Gain, which stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. Not much else is known about Transformers 4, but we doe know that Peter Cullen is expected to return to voice Optimus Prime. Bay has also stated that the robots will ahve a new, updated look as well.
