New STAR WARS: REBELS Still Shows The Stormtroopers Back In Action
They may be the major military force of the Empire in a galaxy far, far away, but it has been a long, long time since we’ve seen Stormtroopers in a Star Wars animated series. As EW points out, the ones we see in Cartoon Network‘s Clone Wars and other related cartoons are… well, clones and that’s an entirely different thing. The actual, non-clone Stormtroopers will be appearing in Disney‘s upcoming series Star Wars: Rebels. A new image of the troopers and the show’s villain was unveiled earlier today.
EW had the new still featuring the Inquistor, the Sith who will be tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi. Rebels takes place between Episodes III and IV, so we’ll get to see how the Rebel Alliance was formed before Luke came in and shook things up. The Inquistor, as you can see below, is flanked by two lovely looking Stormtroopers. Star Wars: Rebels is still highly secretive (though not nearly as much as Star Wars VII) but the first episode will be a one-hour special airing on Disney this fall. Are you looking forward to the new toon?
