New Rumors Regarding Star Wars VII And The First Two Spinoff Movies
It wasn’t so long ago that we got a new Star Wars rumor every day. Since JJ Abrams was announced as the director and it was confirmed that it would start shooting next year in the UK, things have been kind of quiet. Well today we get some big rumors from two different sources. Unless you are just a mega-spoilerphobe, there isn’t anything that could really spoil things for you. But still I feel obligated to give you one last chance before tackling what’s come out today.
Ok, so Bleeding Cool posted some Episode VII character details. No names were attached but we do get an idea of the character types the film is going for. They’re a little bland, but they have been proven authentic over the course of the day by several reputable sources. The seven characters Abrams and company are looking for must fit these descriptions:
- Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.
- Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.
- A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.
- Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit.
- A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.
- Forty something male, fit, military type.
- Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.
So there you go. Start speculating on who all those boys and girls could possibly be. Your guess is as good as mine. Now to something a little more meaty. The average folks over at JoBlo have a “trusted and reliable source” who has confirmed the movie timeline. Disney did everything but send out a press release confirming these dates, but the banner you see above gives you the rundown of what film is coming out starting in 2015. Now those two spinoffs listed for 2016 and 2018 have seemingly been revealed as well.
We had heard that Han Solo, Boba Fett, and Yoda were the top three contenders to get their own movies. Well Yoda is out and Han and Boba seem to be the ones getting their own flicks. JoBlo‘s source had this to say:
The Solo film will focus on Han and Chewy’s relationship, potentially on how they met and became partners on the Millennium Falcon.
There were no details about the Boba Fett film or if it would take place before or after his encounter with the Sarlac Pit. The site also had a quick update on the Star Wars: Rebels animated series you can click over on the source link to see if you’re so inclined. So we have some character types and the news that Boba and Han are getting the…Solo….treatment. Yoda is out because LEGO is planning to do a animated show with the character. What do you think? We still don’t have solid info on Episode VII, but it seems like things are falling into place for everything else.
