New Nova Comic Announced And Guardians Of The Galaxy Gain A New Member

While Clark Gregg stole the spotlight at the Marvel TV panel, other things did happen. It was announced that there would be new Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy comics. The Guardians news had another surprise as well, the team would gain a new member in the form of Tony Stark.

In February, Nova will launch with writer Jeph Loeb and long-time partner Ed McGuinness. Loeb will do the comic as well as continue to head Marvel’s Television department. The book will feature the new member of the Nova Corps- Sam Alexander. The new teenage character was seen in the introduction and conclusion to Avengers vs. X-Men.

The Guardians of the Galaxy comic that will add Tony Stark will be written by Brian Michael Bendis with Steve McNiven on art. The comic is in line with Marvel’s announcement of a Guardians movie where the team will face off against Thanos. The team will be the aforementioned Stark, Groot, Rocket Racoon, Drax, Gamora, and Starlord. The team will “tackle the threats too big for the Avengers.” The book launch in February with a #0.1 issue followed by #1 in March.
