A New Look At Magneto’s Pointless Armor in DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Has Surfaced

by

When you have the power to control and manipulate metal at your disposal, the idea of armor seems a bit…overkill-ish. Regardless, it looks as though Bryan Singer ditched the rather debonair look that Magneto closed First Class for a more comic book style get up. We’ve seen a few glimpses of the suit in recent images, but the latest pic, which comes from the SHH forums, gives us a nice, up-close view of the suit.

They certainly have the color down, but that plated armor is something new and quite different. With part of the film being set in the 1970′s, you can certainly see the influences of that era. It’s a much different look than we are used to seeing for the character, as having the ability to control metal kind of negates the purpose of having all that armor. We can only assume that it’s there for aesthetics only or there is a plot point that pulls it all together. That’s just something we’ll have to wait and see.

Days of Future Past is slated to hit theaters next May. Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy. mag_suit
