New International Trailer For Kick-Ass 2: Plus Donald Faison Talks Dr. Gravity
A new Slovenian trailer for Kick-Ass 2 has hit, and it features a surprising amount of new footage. We get to see a little more of Jim Carrey‘s Colonel Stars and Stripes. Carrey looks poised to steal the show from Aaron Johnson and Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl) from all the trailers and clips we’ve been given so far. The new footage brings even more awesome action. The first trailer blew a lot of people away with the amount of hard-hitting action sequences it showed right out of the gate. It seems the new trailers will be upping the action level each time. Check it out below via Bleeding Cool.
Donal Faison, who will star as Dr. Gravity in the sequel, talks about how he got the part. He recently talked with comedian Paul F. Tompkins on his YouTube show Speakeasy. Faison reveals that a phone call congratulating his friend, director Jeff Wadlow, turned into him landing the part. Wadlow offered the former Scrubs star the role, but the director still made him come in and audition just to see if he would mess up. It kicks off around the 8:30 mark and runs through roughly 13 minutes. Faison talks about his utter joy in getting to work with Jim Carrey, but he also goes into his training for Dr. Gravity. He did some pretty intense workouts to get ready for his fights, mainly Muay Thai kickboxing. What do you think about the new trailer? Do you hope Faison‘s training means a whole lot of fighting for all the vigilantes and villains?
