New Information Revealed About The Villains Returning For BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT
Since Batman Arkham: Knight was announced with it’s trailer, there have been only a couple of facts confirmed about the game. Some of the information was just who would The Dark Knight be running into this go around. We all know that Scarecrow, who’s attack on Gotham sets the game up for a Halloween time frame, will be the main villain of the story, but back are the likes of Two Face, Penguin and The Riddler.
Rocksteady really wanted to up the ante with this game, and keep the designs fresh and exciting so running in to rouges wouldn’t feel redundant. “We tried to add something to the characters, so you’re still excited about them even after meeting them for the third time,” said Art Director Dave Hego. “How can we make these guys exciting, even after seeing them again? Every time, we make them look better and better and better, but at the same time, how can we improve the story behind them?” Not only will they look different, but some of them will even change appearances through out the night. Just like Batman’s suit gets tattered and worn, some of the villains outfits go through some changes as the game goes on.
Lead Character Designer Albert Feliu walks us through some of the character we will be running into this go around. Check out his profile on Two-Face, Penguin and The Riddler below:
Another thing to be on the look out for is Scarecrow. Rocksteady is keeping his looks under wraps for the time being. However, they did tease that he will show signs of his struggle with Killer Croc from the last time we saw him, which was Arkham Asylum. As of right now Arkham Knight is scheduled to be released in October. So until then make sure to check back here at Comic Book Therapy where we will keep you up to date on the latest.
