New Info On Batman: Arkham Origins: Game Will Be Released This October
We knew it was coming sometime this year, but now we know exactly when we can expect to play Batman: Arkham Origins. GameInformer rolled out new info on the game today as they revealed the cover to their May issue.
Warner Bros. Games Montreal will be taking over the keys to the Bat-kingdom from Rocksteady Studios for Arkham Origins. While many fans are hesitant about a Batman game not developed by Rocksteady, WB Montreal will have full access to Rocksteady‘s custom modified Unreal engine to capture the distinct Arkham look and feel. The game, as we had heard previously, will take place years before the other Arkham games. We’ll see a young Batman face countless supervillains for the first time. GameInformer‘s cover shows that Deathstroke will feature in the game, probably very prominently if he’s getting the cover treatment.
The game will be overseen by Eric Holmes, known for his work on The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. He also wrote Transformers: Megatron Origin for IDW. The game will come out October 25, 2013 for the Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. GameInformer also unveiled this announcement trailer.
