New Batman Movie Still A Few Years Out?

batman bannerWe know that the next time we see Batman it will be in the Justice League movie scheduled for 2015. What a lot of people want to know though is when The Dark Knight will get his own post-Nolan flick. According to Batman on Film, it’s still a few years out.

A source told the site that the next Batman film wouldn’t hit theaters until 2017 at the earliest. The plan is to introduce a new man behind the cowl for Justice League and launch a new solo series from there. Batman on Film has a pretty solid track record when it comes to all things Batman. While it should still be taken with a grain of salt, it does line up with other things we have heard about WB’s plans.

This is a pretty good idea. It would mean a five year gap between the new film and The Dark Knight Rises and a 2 year jump from Justice League. This all seems to hinge, like so many of DC movie plans, on the success of Justice League. The film is still scheduled for 2015 but there hasn’t been a lot of movement with it. What do you think about this? Did you expect a shorter or longer Batman gap?

I'm a comic book and movie nerd who loves to share news I find interesting and hope you do as well. I'm a big Doctor Who fan and sci-fi in general. My favorite comic characters you ask? Well Thor, Wolverine, and Daredevil.
