spider-manFollowing hot off the heels of two new featurettes, a brand new banner and two behind the scenes images for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have been released. The banner, which you can see above, was released by the official Amazing Spider-Man Twitter account while director Marc Webb revealed the other two images himself. Those pics give us a glimpse into the editing room as Webb and company work on the sound mixing for the highly-anticipated sequel. You can see another angle of that breathtaking trailer shot where Spider-Man goes into free fall before swinging across the city while the other image offers up a 3D glimpse of Spidey taking on Electro. You can click the pic above or the two below to see them much larger. The film will swing into theaters May 2nd. What do you think about the new pics?

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
