New Actress In Talks For Viper In The Wolverine

Let me start off by saying that wasn’t supposed to be a giant teaser to trap you into reading the article. Sometimes I do that to be tricky, but this time it’s because the name would make a huge title.

Since we recently found out Jessica Biel is out of the running for Viper in James Mangold’s The Wolverine, we new they would find somebody new fast. Twitch Film reports there’s a new actress in negotiations for the film. The new actress is relative unknown Svetlana Khodchenkova. She is best known for her role in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Fox is expected to close a deal soon. The 29 year old Russian actress isn’t that well known in the west, but she does seem to be more in line with the comic book Viper aka Madame Hydra.

I also wouldn’t expect a lot of talk of Hydra considering that is owned by Marvel. You may just hear Khodchenkova called Viper for most of the film. The Wolverine starts shooting in a few months, so more casting will surely follow. What do you think of the possible new addition?
