Neil Gaiman’s Redesigned Cybermen Spotted On Set
While it seems news has been slim for most of Doctor Who season 7 part 2, one episode has had a lot going on this week- Neil Gaiman’s Cybermen episode. Earlier this week a guest actor left their copy of Gaiman’s readthrough draft of the script in the back of a taxi. A very nice young girl found it and turned it back in without taking a peek, although the picture she posted showing off the find had the title The Last Cyberman. Matt Smith had said that Gaiman was doing something “reinventive” with the Cybermen and now we have our first look at it what he may have meant.
Some set pictures were snapped and uploaded to Tumblr showing off the new sleek looking Cybermen that will feature in the episode. You may remember the brief synopsis released when the episode was announced stated that The Doctor (Smith) and new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman) are on a mysterious planet and become part of a band of misfits. What do you think about the new look? Do you think these are still Cybus Cybermen?
