Nathan FIllion May Have A Role In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY After All

by

fillinNathan Fillion‘s name is thrown out there for every comic book role imaginable. People wanted him to be Ant-Man. People wanted him to be Green Lantern. People probably wanted him to don a wig and play Wonder Woman. The guy is the focus of many, many fancasts is what we’re trying to say here. The actor has said countless times that his show, Castle, is keeping him way too busy to be in a comic book movie and he doesn’t think he’s ‘famous enough‘ anyway. That hasn’t stopped the rumors though. There were some pretty solid rumors that the actor was at least in discussion for the role of Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy. Fillion is friends with Joss Whedon and James Gunn after all. While Chris Pratt ended up with the lead role, it sounds like Fillion may have gotten a role.

While appearing at the St. Louis Wizard World con this past weekend, a fan asked the Firefly icon if he had wanted a role in Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy. The actor teased the questioner, saying “Wanting to get a part? Or maybe did. I’m just saying maybe…maybe there’ll be a surprise…maybe check the credits of the movie when you watch it.” Obviously FIllion doesn’t have a major role since this is the first we’re hearing about it, but his comments makes one think maybe he got made up as an alien of some sort. A Fillion cameo role is enough to get fans excited, even if it isn’t the big role some hoped for. We’ll just have to wait and see exactly what Fillion means when the movie comes out this August. What do you think? Do you hope Fillion has a sizable cameo?
