MODOK Announced For LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Villains Poster Released
Marvel‘s first LEGO video game already has an expansive list of heroes and villains that will get LEGOized, but the list continues to grow each week. Today the Mobile Organism Designed Only For Killing, better known as MODOK, has been announced as the latest addition to the game. Game Informer had the screenshots to roll the character out in style. Players will have to fight MODOK in story mode, but the site reckons it’s a safe bet he’ll probably be a playable character too. Game director Arthur Parsons talked about MODOK‘s role in the game’s story:
Doctor Doom is scouring the planet looking for the cosmic Lego bricks from the Silver Surfer’s board and enlists the help of A.I.M., who supply him with a purpose-built ship, the Doom Tanker. This navigates the seas looking for bricks and is crewed by A.I.M. Goons under the jurisdiction of MODOK. So as the player is tracking the cosmic Lego bricks – when they least expect it – MODOK turns up to rain on their parade. As sinister as ever, MODOK assaults the player and tries to slow them down allowing Doctor Doom to escape in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Research Submarine.
Along with the character images comes a brand new LEGO poster focusing on the villains. Below the MODOK pics you can see the new one sheet showing off Green Goblin, Venom, Magneto, Bullseye, Doctor Octopus, Kingpin, Mystique, Doctor Doom, Loki, Abomination, and the aforementioned MODOK. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes hits all major consoles later this month. What do you think of the latest batch of game images?
