Miles Teller Confirms FANTASTIC FOUR Rumors

fantastic-four-fox-movie-bannerFox‘s Fantastic Four reboot is scheduled for a March 6, 2015 release date, but director Josh Trank doesn’t have a script or any cast in place. The film is still supposedly chugging along with nothing but a few actors rumored for the four big parts. Michael B. Jordan is all but officially confirmed as Johnny Storm, but everything else is still in flux. Miles Teller (Divergent, The Spectacular Now) has been said to be close to finalizing a deal for the role of Reed Richards. While that was only a rumor, Teller has confirmed that he has indeed had some conversations about the reboot.

miles tellerWhile talking to Fandango about what he’s doing next, the actor said he was just resting up now and looking at a couple of projects. One thing he’s sure to be doing is the next Divergent film. That is determining what he can and can’t do right now:

Right now I’m kind of hanging out. I don’t have anything that I’m doing until probably January or February. I don’t know 100%. Obviously Insurgent, the next Divergent film … I think they are going to start the second one in April

The actor confirms that one film he’s considering is Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four. There have been plenty of actresses rumored for Sue Storm, which we mentioned above, but Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan have been the only two actors consistently mentioned for ReedMr. FantasticRichards and Johnny Storm, respectively. It seems Teller is in serious talks for the film and may be doing a final check of his schedule to see if it works:

Uh, you know, I don’t know,” Teller told us. “If that happens, if everything works out, then I will be pretty pumped. But then I’ll also be working for … it’s like seven months out of your year. Which is not a bad problem.

We know the reboot is going for a much younger Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben, so it will be interesting to see who actually lands the Sue and Ben roles. With Michael B. Jordan taking on Johnny Storm, it’s safe to say they’re willing to go with some unconventional choices for the comic book franchise. The clock is ticking and Fox needs to get something in front of the cameras soon. What would you think if Miles Teller was your Reed Richards? Are you liking what you’re hearing about Fantastic Four so far?
