The U.S. channel National Geographic announced the debut of Comic Store Heroes, a reality show that will show the day to day of Midtown Comics in New York, the largest comic shop in the United States with over a million magazines in stock . Not to mention collectibles such as action figures, statuettes and a wide range of related products.

Besides showing the daily routine of store employees - Gerry, Thor and Alex – the customer service and day to day business, it will also follow the fans who usually visit the establishment, whether occasional or frequent.
Each episode of Comic Store Heroes will have an hour long. The premiere will take place on July 13, a Friday. The date seems to have been carefully chosen, for it is precisely during the largest comic convention in the U.S., San Diego Comic-Con.

Comic Store Heroes airs Friday, July 13 — smack-dab in the middle of Comic-Con International — at 8 p.m. ET/PT on National Geographic.
