Michael Bay Confirms Autobot Hound for Transformers 4
As expected, Michael “Boom Boom” Bay is rolling out the new vehicles that will be featured in the upcoming fourth Transformers film that is currently in pre-production in Southern Utah. Earlier this week, we got our first look at the newly re-designed Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, who received a retro make-over. We also got a look at a Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti, which have yet to be associated with a robot.
A few weeks back, it was rumored that the famed Autobot Hound would be making his way into the film and today, Michael Bay has confirmed that, releasing the image below with the blurb “The always rugged and reliable Hound, one of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles from Oshkosh Defense”. If you’ll remember in Dark of the Moon, fan-favorite Ironhide was lost during a pivotal battle with Sentinel Prime. I can’t help but think that Hound will take his place in a way.
Transformers 4 is set to begin filming later this summer with Mark Wahlberg leading the cast. Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci and TJ Miller will also star. The film is set to release next year.
