Michael B. Jordan Addresses The Human Torch Rumors
A rumor a couple of weeks ago set the internet on fire. According to The Wrap, actor Michael B. Jordan is in talks to to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot that is going to be directed by Josh Trank. This casting rumor cause some interesting conversation as the African-American Jordan, is up for the traditional Caucasian role.
Jordan thinks the world is ready. Talking to USA Today, he addressed the possibility of him playing the role by saying, “Things change and time goes on, it’s 2013 right now. The characteristics of the Human Torch are his name is Johnny Storm, he’s charismatic, and he’s a playboy. That’s it. You know what I’m saying? That’s all there is.”
To add to the speculation Jordan addressed his friendship with Josh Trank, who he worked with on the movie Chronicle, and added he would love to do Fantastic Four. “Nothing is real. Everyone knows we’re good friends. It’s something that if it happened I would be ecstatic. I’d love to be a part of it,” he said with a wink.
