Marvel Looking At Possibly Spinning Off GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Into Their Own Solo Films
Guardians Of The Galaxy is do out later this Summer, and comic fans as well as general audiences are excited and intrigued by the rag-tag group of space defenders set for their first movie. It’s not really known if or how the team will fit into The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, but it looks as if the film could spawn a franchise with in a franchise for Marvel.
While talking with Bloomberg Business Week, Disney CEO Robert Iger says that they are kicking around the idea of giving the Guardians of The Galaxy their own solo outings. So it may not be too long before you see Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon or Groot parading around the big screen taking care of business on their own.
It’s not set in stone that this will happen. As of right now it appears it’s just in the kicking the tires phase to see if there might be an interest. I’m sure we will know more if this would be feasible when the film opens. Until that time you can catch Guardians Of The Galaxy when it hits theaters on August 1st.
