Marvel And Lego To Combine Forces For MAXIMUM OVERLOAD
The Lego world has seen quite the expansion in recent years. For some time now, the popular toys have expanded from the simple building-block form we all know and love to the world of comics, fantasy and sci-fi. We’ve seen them tackle such constructs as the Millennium Falcon to the realm of Middle Earth to the city of Gotham. the brand has also crossed over to the world of gaming, creating a highly successful series of games. And coming next year, The Lego Movie will be the first feature film using numerous characters from quite the array of properties. To even further their reach, Lego will be teaming with Marvel to create a new web series titled Maximum Overload.
According to Heat Vision, the two mega-brands will be combining their powers to create the 10-episode series, beginning on November 5th, exclusively on Disney.com and Disney’s Youtube channel. The series, officially titled Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload, will see Lego Spider-Man and some of Marvel’s most popular characters dropped in a Lego-style backdrop. The mischievous Loki is looking to earn his title of super-villain by assembling an army to conquer Earth and beyond. Spider-Man and his SHIELD-backed pals are forced to tackle old foes who have gained new powers.
