Marvel Confirms CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 Release Date
As of now, it appears as if we will have a show down between Marvel and DC on May 6th 2016. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath that it will actually happen. It has been widely known that Batman Vs. Superman moved to a release date that was held by an untitled Marvel movie, but last month it was revealed just what Marvel movie it was. Captain America will duke it out with Batman and Superman in a titanic battle between a character that is coming off of a 96 plus million opening weekend, and DC’s first team up movie that contains the only solo character who’s movie has grossed over one billion box-office dollars.
Today, Marvel has taken to call exclusive on this and reaffirm that they seemingly wont back down. They have used the huge opening weekend number that they achieved as a springboard to make the announcement. Although it’s not confirmed in the report by Marvel themselves, The Winter Soldier directors Anthony and Joe Russo are expect to come back, as well as screenwriters Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Markus and McFeely are currently in the early stages of starting the script for Cap 3.
Something is going to have to give here. Captain America is going up against two of the most well known comic character in the world. One of which has had two movies cross the one billion dollar mark. But Marvel has the momentum so it will be interesting to sew how these things will play out here int he next couple of years.
