Martin Sheen To Return As Uncle Ben In Amazing Spider-Man Sequel

In a story making the rounds today that shouldn’t surprise you too much, Martin Sheen has confirmed that he will be returning for Marc Webb’s Spider-Man sequel to play Uncle Ben. Yeah, he died in the first movie but his death is the driving force for Spider-Man in both the comics and movies.
Appearing on Ireland’s The Late Late Show last week to talk about his human rights Project “Voices From The Front Line,” the actor stated:
Well they called me back, I don’t know what the part’s going to be but I’m going to be Uncle Ben once again in ‘Spider-Man’ next year. We shoot in February.
It’s probably safe to say that he will be appearing in a flashback reminding Peter that he has an important responsibility, or however he worded it to avoid saying “With great power comes great responsibility.” Shooting starts in February with a good chunk being filmed in London. Whether the location is related to the plot or just being used for filming is yet to be seen. What do you think about Uncle Ben returning?
