Mars Attacks Judge Dredd, Black Dynamite Explodes, And IDW Gets Animated This September

dredd bannerIDW‘s September solicitations were released recently, and they held a few surprises. Two big new miniseries will be kicking off and a few comics will be getting some variant covers that will make you have flashbacks of Saturday mornings when you were a kid.

The Mars Attacks Judge Dredd four part story from Al Ewing and artist John McCrea will see its debut issue released with two impressive covers. The crossover came about due to impressive fan response to a Judge Dredd variant cover during the Mars Attacks IDW event. The cover was received so well, and fans put up such a fuss, the rights were worked out and Mega-City One‘s best Judge will be taking on the little green men from Mars. Black Dynamite will also be taking the world by storm with his new comic from writer Brian Ash and artists Jamal Igle and Sal Buscema. You can check out the solicit info for both new miniseries below.

September will also see IDW getting animated. The publisher has several properties that have either started out or spent time on TV as a cartoon, so September will honor that fact with the release of several animation themed covers. The books involved are: Black Dynamite, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, G.I. Joe A Real American Hero, Popeye Classics, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles New Animated Adventures, Judge Dredd, Danger Girl, T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye, and The X-Files. You can check out a few of those covers after the Black Dynamite and Mars Attacks Judge Dredd info. What do you think of what IDW has planned this September?
