We live in the age of the teaser. We have teasers for trailers, teasers for posters, and even teasers for teaser trailers. I wish that last one was a joke, but it’s not. Some actors and directors like to take to social media to tease aspects of their upcoming movies, and Marc Webb is one of those people. The director has been teasing fans mercilessly while filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 by Tweeting snippets of pictures and info during filming of the sequel. Today he gave the world a video with a quick glimpse at Spider-Man‘s new mask. Well, it’s kind of Spider-Man’s mask in that it’s the new eyes. You can watch the video by clicking here, but the two screencaps put together for each eye piece serves as this article’s header image (which you can click to expand).

Webb has said on several occasions that the suit will be tweaked a bit the next time we see it on film. The director most recently told Collider “There are a lot of things that are harder than it seems, like designing the suit, for example. We’re doing some revising on that. We’re making some cool improvements on the suit.” So there you go folks. Maybe we’ll get to cobble together different pieces of the new suit and get our own Spider jigsaw puzzle. What do you think of those eyes?
In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
