Lionsgate Releases New Image From Hunger Games Adaptation

The film is one of the bets of the year and many will venture to say that it will be the new juvenile success franchise, since “Harry Potter“ is over and “The Twilight” saga ends late this year.
The plot of “Hunger Games” takes place in the future when North America, now in ruins, is divided into a capital and 12 other districts. Once a year, each district is required to send two teens between 12 and 18 years, a boy and a girl, to participate in the reality show called “The Hunger Games“, where competitors (known as “taxes”) face -off in an arena until death.

The cast includes actors Josh Hutcherson (“My Mother and My Father”), Liam Hemsworth (“The Last Song”), Jennifer Lawrence (“X-Men: First Class”), Paula Malcomson (the TV series “Caprica “), Stanley Tucci (” Julie & Julia “), Wes Bentley (” Ghost Rider “) and Woody Harrelson (” Zombieland “), Lenny Kravitz (” Precious “), Toby Jones (” Captain America “), Donald Sutherland (“Pride and Prejudice”) and Elizabeth Banks (“72 Hours”). Gary Ross (“Seabiscuit – Seabiscuit”) is responsible for directing and Billy Ray (“Intrigues of the State”) got the script duty.
The first feature debut March 23 in the U.S. and Brazil.
