LEGO HOBBIT Game Coming Very Soon
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is only a few weeks away from flying into theaters, but the franchise will also be taking over our gaming consoles once again in the spring of 2014. There have been rumors swirling about on the web the last few weeks that Warner Bros. and LEGO were close to announcing a Hobbit game, and now is that time.
The Hobbit will be hitting current and next gen consoles in an unspecified date in the spring of 2014. To go along with the movies, the game will only feature levels based on the first two films from Peter Jackson‘s planned trilogy. Since The Hobbit: There and Back Again won’t premiere until December 2014, it will be left out for now. Playable characters as of now include: Bilbo, Gandalf, and all the Dwarves (they all have their own special abilities). For example, Bombur will have a bell bounce ability that allows other characters to trampoline out of danger. Players will also be able to mine for gems and loot treasure, which then can be used to craft ‘magical items and LEGO structures.” What do you think about The Hobbit getting the LEGO treatment? Will you be checking this one out next year?
