Legendary Drops Man Of Steel Sequel For Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar
It seems like it wasn’t that long ago. Rumors started swirling around that Legendary will be looking to take their finances and split from long time partner Warner Brothers. The contract between the companies expires at the end of this year, and Legendary will take their money to Universal. A lot of people are wondering what will happen with the franchises the two started together. Namely the Man Of Steel sequel.
Well word has just came in via The Wrap that Legendary will no longer be associated with Man Of Steel 2. It’s not all for nothing however as they have agreed to trade their stake in Man Of Steel 2 for a piece of Christopher Nolan’s next film Interstellar. That film is a joint venture between Warner Brother and Paramount.
How this effects Man Of Steel 2 is still up in the air. The only superhero movie that has been done at Warner Brothers with out Legendary was Green Lantern, and we all know how that turned out. Still with the first movie doing as well as it did at the box office, and the extra push of Batman being in the sequel I guess now is as good of time as any for WB to stand on their own two feet and produce some good superhero movies.
