villainDC‘s big documentary Necessary Evil: Super-Villains Of DC Comics comes out this Friday. Ahead of the Blu-ray and DVD release, a new clip has been released featuring some of the documentary’s commentators talking about what makes a good, strong villain. The clip, narrated by the legendary Christopher Lee, has Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Dini, Geoff Johns, and James Robinson discussing how the best villains are a reflection of the heroes they menace.

The feature-lengthy documentary featuring footage from DC’s animated series, TV shows, video games, and live action films will have over forty interview subject including in addition to the men above: Richard Donner, Zack Snyder, Scott Snyder (no relation),  Jim Lee, Len Wein, Marv Wolfman, Neil Adams, Dan Didio, Bob Harras, Marc Guggenheim and many more.
