Like issue #1, Knightingail: Shadow Divisions #2 covers feature an amazing assortment of artwork and styles. Covers A and B will be available in stores at a 50/50 split. Cover A features an amazing Ruby Citadel cover by interior artists Mel Joy San Juan and Katrina Mae Hao. Cover B provides an amazing first-look at the new enemy tribe introduced in this series called the Shadow Ravens. As can be seen from this beautifully illustrated cover, Shadow Ravens are unique in that they are in shadow form wherever their bodies are not in light but become fully exposed when light shines on them.

In addition to these two in-store covers, there will be three variant covers released through conventions and the Knightingail on-line store ( Covers C and D are both illustrated by the wonderful artistic team of Dawn McTeigue and Ula Mos. Both of these covers are part of a 6 issue set of connecting covers that will form a larger battle image when placed next to each other. Cover C will be released as a limited edition of 250 Wizard World Chicago exclusive in August at the Big Dog Ink booth. Cover D is a limited edition of 100 Jesse James Comics exclusive comic that will only be available through Jesse James comic store in Glendale, AZ or on-line through their website. This exclusive cover also features the first look at the new Centurion outfits for Daniel and Maragus which will actually not be shown in the interior comics until later in the series. There will also be a fifth cover that is left as a future surprise.

The interior art of Knightingail: Shadow Divisions #2 continues to show the amazing craft of interior artists Mel and Katrina. For a special first peek of their amazing artwork, fans can watch the trailer for issue #2 from the Knightingail Youtube page (

Writer Wayne Gardiner continues to develop the tension of this series in the story for Knightingail: Shadow Divisions #2. Things are not as great as they seemed from the seemingly easy victory depicted in issue #1. Tensions from the deaths of key companions in Knightingail Volume 1 start to weigh heavily on Knightingail. The villain of that series, Luceus, also returns to introduce a new danger for the Centurion friends, the Shadow Ravens.
