Kick-Ass 2 Gets Another Trailer Featuring More Stars & Stripes, Fighting and Abs
A few years back, director Matthew Vaughn brought to movie-goers a film that turned the super hero movie on its head. Kick-Ass, which tells of ordinary folks who dress up as costumed vigilantes to take down their city’s crime lords, is based off a graphic novel of the same name. It’s gritty, irreverent and all sorts of naughty, but it sure is a lot of fun to watch! It took a few years, but a sequel finally made it into production, this time with Jeff Wadlow at the helm and serving as the film’s writer as well. Vaughn stuck around to produce the sequel.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson returns as the title character, with Chloe Grace Moritz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse returning to reprise their characters of Hit Girl and Red Mist, aka The Mother F*cker. Jim Carrey joined the cast as Colonel Stars & Stripes, with Donald Faison, Morris Chestnut and John Leguizamo also signing on. This go-round, The Mo-Fo is out to seek revenge for his father’s death and gathers an army of baddies to take on the increasing number of vigilantes that have surfaced. The film is slated for an August 16th release and you can check out the latest theatrical trailer below.
