Kevin Smith Working On A New BATMAN Miniseries
At the Comic Book Men panel currently going on at New York Comic Con, Kevin Smith announced that he and his partner in crime and business, Walt Flanagan, are currently working on a brand new Batman miniseries. They currently have three issues completed and are working to finish the story according to Bleeding Cool. The only other details revealed at this time are that it will be outside of current DC New 52 continuity and Batman will “be going apeshit.”
Smith and Flanagan previously worked on Batman: Cacophony and The Widening Gyre for DC, but there’s no word if the new miniseries is related to those previous two stories. We’ll update if any more details find their way out in the wild today. What do you think about Smith and Flanagan taking on Batman once again?
Update: As Chuckie pointed out in the comments below, Smith had mentioned he was doing something for DC last year during one of his podcasts. It was supposed to hit in 2013, but it seems things got held up. This is probably what Smith is doing. You can read the story on the podcast announcement by clicking here.
