Kelsey Grammer Has Filmed A Cameo For DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

MV5BMTkyMTYyMzk2MV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwOTczMDY5NA@@._V1_SX640_SY720_When it was revealed that the casts from both X-Men film franchises would be united for Days of Future Past, fans began to hope and speculate which of their favorite characters would be returning. Slowly but surely, the cast came together and the familiar faces began to assemble. But there were still a few that were no where to be seen: Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Azazel, etc. One such name that never came up was Kesley Grammer, who played the role of Dr. Hank McCoy, better known as BeastGrammer played the role in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and portrayed the part very well, considering the lackluster film as a whole. A few years later, Beast showed up once more in X-Men: First Class, where he was played by Nicholas Hoult. We know that Hoult’s take on the character would have a part in the upcoming Days of Future Past, but there was still no sign of the future version- until now.

It was revealed tonight that Kelsey Grammer has filmed a cameo for the upcoming film. According to ShowBizSpy, the actor filmed the cameo while on the set of another show, so it fit within his schedule Grammer was apparently quite agreeable to don the blue make-up once more for the part.

“Producers had the brilliant idea to bring back Kelsey for Days of Future Past,” an insider said.
“It wasn’t hard to get him to sign on for a guest appearance. He jumped at the opportunity the second it was brought to his attention.

There is no word on how the scene will fit in to the big picture, such as which time period he’ll appear in or with whom he shot the scene. Will the two Beasts meet? We’ll have to wait and see. It will be interesting to see if they update Grammer’s make-up to coincide with the look of Hoult’s version, which is far more animal-like. Grammer’s version, while really cool, was much more subdued and more inline with that of the character in the popular X-Men cartoon from the 1990’s.

Hopefully we’ll get more information on this cool development. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see how the cameo will be integrated. I know many folks aren’t huge fans of the X-Men films, but as a huge fan of the characters, I’m quite thrilled to see what Bryan Singer has in store. Days of Future Past will hit theaters this may and stars Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Omar Sy, Halle Berry (maybe), Peter Dinklage, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin (maybe) and Lucas Till. A new trailer is expected to arrive next week.
