Kelsey Grammer Cast as Lead (Human) Villain in Transformers 4
With filming set to begin on Michael Bay’s latest installment in the Tranformers franchise, we can expect to see more and more casting announcement in the coming weeks. The last to join the cast was the always entertaining Stanley Tucci. He will be joining Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor on the project. Today, we have another announcement, with Kelsey Grammer joining the cast.
Grammer will be casting aside his usual likeable personas he’s used to portraying to take on the lead human villain for the upcoming sci-fi adventure. His role will be that of Harold Attinger, a counter intelligence guy. That’s about it as far as back ground, as we don’t have any information on plots or storyline. Grammer is no stranger to blockbuster films, as he portrayed the fan-favorite character of Beast/Dr. Hank McCoy in Brett Ratner’s X-Men: The Last Stand.
One thing that also remains a mystery is which baddie robot will fill the role for the Decepticons, now that Megatron and Starscream have been laid to pasture. There was a rumor a while back that the famed Unicron storyline would be used, but not confirmation has ever come. Once filming commences, we can expect to learn more about the cast and which bots will be featured in the fourth film. One thing we do know is that Bay is planning a complete redesign of the robots, giving them a fresh new look. Peter Cullen has previously confirmed he’ll be back to voice the iconic Optimus Prime for the film.
