Katee Sackhoff Wanted WONDER WOMAN, But Would Still Sell Her First Born To Play HARLEY QUINN

Katee Sackhoff is known by fans for many things. One of the more popular things is her work as Dahl on the Riddick movie franchise. While she would love a spin off for her Riddick character, she has made some news in recent years lobbying for comic book movie roles. Saying she has always loved the Batman series, she even provided the voice for Detective Sarah Essen in Batman: Year One, there are a few characters outside the Batman realm she would like a crack as as well.

Unfortunately for her it doesn’t look like she will get a chance to make it happen, as one of the characters is Wonder Woman. “I’d love to play Wonder Woman. I remember auditioning for the Wonder Woman television show and being told that I wasn’t the Wonder Woman type, but if I wanted to play the best friend, I could audition for that,” she explained.

I mean I think I might give away my firstborn to have an opportunity to play Harley Quinn.” She continued by explaining why she wants the opportunity to play Quinn, “I love trying to understand the villain, and trying to understand the things they do and why they do them, and I’ve always found her and The Joker, you almost can’t understand them. And it makes it so much more interesting because everything’s fair game, and I love that. I loved the usefulness of her, I thought that was interesting, and I just think that it’s a fantastic character.”

That’s not all! Sackhoff is also an avid Star Wars fan saying, “I was absolutely obsessed, I mean I wanted to be… The sad thing is, I never wanted to be Princess Leia, I always wanted to be Han Solo!” She lent her voice to to The Clone Wars animated series and would love the opportunity to get a part in Episode VII. “If J.J. would listen, I would play a rock in the Star Wars movies. I think that they’re fantastic, I think that he’s a great choice, and I’m excited to see what happens in that world,” she gushed.

While it’s not certain what way the new Batman franchise will go, fans have been clamoring for Harley to make her big screen debut. Not only that, it’s not often you get an actor or actress wanting to play the significant other of one of the biggest super villains of all time. Sackhoff’s name has also popped up in Star Wars rumors before, but it appears as if there is no truth to them. One thing is for sure, Katee Sackhoff is endearing her self to comic book fans everywhere. For the latest on all comic book movies, make sure to check back here at Comic Book Therapy.
