Karen Gillan Says Everyone’s A Bad Guy In Guardians Of The Galaxy
The lovely, stubble headed Karen Gillan recently chatted with the folks at Total Film about her role as the deadly Nebula in James Gunn‘s Guardians of the Galaxy. The former Doctor Who companion weighed in on a possible Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover and what’s so interesting about the villains in Guardians.
Gillan was asked if she would be interested in the Guardians of the Galaxy crossing over and maybe even trading blows with The Avengers. Of course the actress would love for that to happen, but she hasn’t heard anything. She said Iron Man was her favorite hero and she just loved Robert Downey Jr.‘s humor and the tone of his solo films. When asked about Guardians though, the actress had an interesting comment regarding the “bad” guys and the “good” guys in the film:
I play a villain, so I’m just antagonizing our heroes in Guardians of the Galaxy. I play the female villain and Lee Pace plays the male villain, Ronan the Accuser. Also, what’s different about Guardians is that everybody is a bad guy. There’s just good guys within the bad guys.
You can watch the interview in its entirety below. While Lee Pace and Gillan may be the film’s major villains, we know they won’t be alone. There’s Thanos and Korath the Pursuer as well. Gamora is even said to start out as a baddie in the beginning, but it sounds like nobody will be that good of a person to begin with. What do you think about Gillan‘s comments?
