Justice League Movie May Be In Trouble

Justice League bannerIt seems like the only thing we’re hearing from the Justice League movie is problems. The movie is still slated for a 2015 release but there’s still no word on a director or even rumors about who will be taking on any of the roles. Today we have a new rumor from Badass Digest, this time regarding the script.

Badass Digest has heard that Will Beall’s script is being scrapped.  The writer of the box office dud Gangster Squad has allegedly wrote a script so bad some say it might cause the whole movie to fall apart. Others are saying WB will still keep chugging along and try to get their answer to The Avengers out before too long. Beall’s script is said to feature Darkeseid and a heavy threat from space but according to Badass Digest it “has been half-baked from the beginning, with reports saying that heroes (beyond the core five of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern) have been cut and added from the proceedings seemingly at studio executive will.

Warner Bros. are on record saying they’re playing the waiting game and seeing how Man of Steel does this summer, but regardless of that this report seems to indicate more trouble with the long gestating film. Even if WB salvages the production, the 2015 release seems highly unlikely. We’ll have to see if WB reworks their DC movie plans after Man of Steel and decides to punt Justice League further down the road. What do you think? Will they get it back on track in time?
