Justice League Dark Gets A New Writer This November
We had heard rumors over the last several months that Jeff Lemire would be leaving the world of Justice League Dark. The writer confirmed it last month on his Twitter, much to fans dismay. Lemire’s swansong will be the two Justice League Dark issues of The Trinity War. After that, the writer will be moving on to other projects for DC. Ray Fawkes is scheduled as a writer for a single issue of the series this October, but the new regular series writer taking over starting in November has finally been announced.
Comic Book Resources revealed that Larfleeze, Trinity of Sin: Phantom Stranger, and upcoming Justice League 3000 scribe J.M. DeMatteis will be handling the JL team headed by Constantine starting with issue #25. DeMatteis has been in the news lately with the Justice League 3000 brouhaha, but this announcement is a lot more positive. The cover and solicit info for the writer’s debut issue was released as well. You can check out the cover by interior artist Mikel Janin below. What do you think about DeMatteis going Dark?
