Joseph Gordon-Levitt Shoots Down The Man Of Steel Rumor

jgl bannerJoseph Gordon-Levitt is a pretty busy guy. He has his directorial debut, Don Jon’s Addiction, getting rave reviews at Sundance and he recently signed up for Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City 2. The actor’s name is thrown out for every big movie coming out over the next few years, so he has his pick of jobs. Many thought the end of The Dark Knight Rises meant JGL would be choosing a Justice League film to continue on the John Blake Batman ending. Gordon-Levitt has said he doesn’t have plans for that, but the internet rumor machine has been pretty persistent.

One of the more persistent rumors was that John Blake’s Batman would be showing up in a cameo role in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. While speaking with MTV at the Sundance Film Festival about Sin City 2, the actor was asked about the rumor:

I hadn’t heard that one. It just goes to show how much you can believe rumors. I don’t think you should believe in any of them. If there’s something I’m going to be in, I’m going to tell you about it. I put it on my Twitter that I was in Sin City 2, so TRUST me, I’ll tell you.

While he shoots it down, many will still think it’s WB making him stay silent. I actually believe JGL on this one. The actor tweeted that he would be playing Robin in TDKR, but quickly deleted it.

Nobody has seen a Man of Steel tweet, so maybe it’s the truth. You can watch the full chat with MTV where Gordon-Levitt talks briefly about Sin City 2 by clicking here. Where you expecting John Blake Batman to pop up in other films?
