Joker Has Many Faces In The First Look At Max Landis And Jock’s SUPERMAN/JOKER Story
Max Landis is a writer, director, YouTube sensation, and comic book fanboy. Landis‘ love of comics is no secret. Neither is it a secret he would like to write a comic. Landis revealed a few months back that he had been approached earlier this year to write a year long weekly series with Greg Pak to reboot The Death and Return of Superman for the New 52. Due to Landis‘ schedule and some ‘internal decisions‘ by DC, the series was shelved. He turned the story into a 42 minute YouTube video just to get the idea out there. Well now that a few months have passed, he will indeed be working with DC on a comic about Superman. This one will see the Man of steel and Joker coming face to face. Landis has been teasing it on Twitter for a while, but today the first piece of art was unveiled.
Landis will be working on the story with fan-favorite artist Jock. You can see the artist’s rendition of the many faces of Joker below. From his very first appearance, to the way he’s looked on TV/movies, and even his recent Death of the Family look are included. No word as of now if this is a one-shot or miniseries, but I personally think it may be for The Adventures of Superman. That title has various writers and artists coming in to tell a Superman story or two without the constraints of sticking to the monthly continuity. Regardless of how it comes out, that is a beautiful page. Will you be checking out Landis and Jock‘s story whenever it comes out?
