JOKER Is The Breakout Star Of The First BATMAN: ASSAULT ON ARKHAM Clip
This week’s episode of DC‘s YouTube series, DC All Access, features our first honest to goodness clip from Warner Bros. next animated film, Batman: Assault on Arkham. The show starts off (around the 45 second mark) with a nice chat with the voice of the Joker, Troy Baker, covering the process of bringing his version of the Clown Prince of Crime from the world of video games to the animated movie realm. After an introduction in character, a clip showing Joker breaking out of prison is unveiled. After that there is a quick bit about iZombie, though it’s just a nice fluffy interview with the cast.
Batman: Assault on Arkham features the voice talents of Kevin Conroy as Batman, Neal McDonough (Deadshot), Troy Baker (Joker), Matthew Gray Gubler (Riddler), CCH Pounder (Amanda Waller), Greg Ellis (Captain Boomerang), Giancarlo Esposito (Black Spider), and the lovely Tara Strong as Harley Quinn. The film debuts on Digital, DVD, and Blu-ray combo back August 12th. What do you think about our first real clip?
Gotham is in great danger when the government assembles a group of villains — code named the Suicide Squad — and forces them to break into Arkham Asylum to retrieve top secret information stolen by the Riddler. Things take a turn for the worse when one of the Squad members (Harley Quinn) frees the Joker, who is intent on blowing up Arkham Asylum and Gotham City. Batman must use his super hero wits and strength to thwart the wicked plans of the Joker and the Suicide Squad.
