Jim Starlin Working On A Big THANOS Project For MARVEL
Legendary Marvel comic book scribe and creator of the Mad Titan Thanos, Jim Starlin, has revealed that his next big project is going to be something for Marvel. Starlin took to his Facebook page earlier to tease fans about something many fans have been hoping would happens since the mid-credits stinger for Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers. It sounds like we’ll see Starlin return to the cosmic side of Marvel.
The semi-secret project is a 100-page project that writer said he had just completed. Starlin said “Just finished the last page of a 100 page story I’ve written and penciled for Marvel Comics. But at this time I can’t say what exactly the project is. Details will be released when I can release them. Look for it next summer!” The post was accompanied by this picture of a mysterious comic book character whose face has been blurred. I think it’s Thanos, don’t you? This will be Starlin‘s return to Marvel after only a year and a half ago he was taking shots at the publisher over Thanos surprise appearance in The Avengers. The writer didn’t even know the character was a part of the film until his friends told him. With Jason Aaron writing Thanos Rising, looking at the Mad Titan‘s birth and early adult years, it will be interesting to see just where Starlin‘s comic fits into the timeline. I spoke with Starlin last year and he said things were thawing between Marvel and himself. It looks like things are going well now. Hopefully we hear more about this project soon. What do you think about Starlin returning to his Thanos roots?
