Jim Starlin Has A Few More MARVEL Projects Lined Up Than We Originally Thought

by

thanos 1Fans were excited to hear that Jim Starlin would be coming back to Marvel to write an original graphic novel about Thanos featuring a plethora of cosmic characters. We’ve already heard a little bit about The Infinity Revelation, coming this April, but now word on at least two more Starlin projects for the House of Ideas have been brought to light.

The Beat (with a hat tip to Bleeding Cool) ran the third edition in their year end survey featuring comic book writers and artist looking back at 2013 and talking a little about what 2014 holds for them. They spoke with Starlin and mentioned two of his projects coming up in 2014. In addition to the 100-page Infinity Revelation is a Savage Hulk four-issue story arc which he will write and pencil, and a 30-page Thanos Annual that he will only write. There were rumblings that Starlin had some sort of Thanos trilogy, or at least three different Thanos projects in the works, and this seems to give some credence to that. While we’re all happy that Thanos‘ creator is back in the driver’s seat, it will be interesting to hear some details about the Savage Hulk project. Starlin answered a fan’s question on his Facebook page about his new projects, saying “It was a long and complicated road back to working with Marvel once again. We’ll just have to see how long this association lasts.” It does sound like things are going well for now and the work is rolling along. What do you think?
