Jesse Eisenberg May Not Join The BATMAN VS SUPERMAN Shoot Until June

LexbannerBatman Vs Superman is coming, a little later than the original July 17, 2015 release date, but it is coming. May 6, 2016 is the new release date, and according to the press release the reason for the delay was so the film makers could “get it right.”

But what if that wasn’t the reason? Our friends over at The Man Of Steel Fanpage have a fantastic piece, that I encourage you to venture over and read, where they do some detective work and come to the conclusion that the new Lex Luthor, Jesse Eiesenberg, may have caused the delay in the movies release.

eisenberg_articleAccording their super sleuthing Eisenberg is currently committed to two films that are filming early this year. The first being The End Of The Tour with Jason Segel, and the next being American Ultra with Kristen Stewart. American Ultra has Eisenberg in New Orleans, according to, from the dates of April 14th to June 10th. What that means is the combination of the films has him booked solid from around the dates of February mid to late February to early June.

The original starting shoot date for Batman Vs Superman was sometime in February. With the release date pushed back it was announced that filming would be pushed back to the second quarter of 2014, that puts it at around April or May. So based on the dates provided Eisenberg wont even join the films shoot until sometime in June.

Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he wont join the film’s production until then. However, with the reports inferring that he will shave his heard for the notoriously bald character, and the fact that Michigan and Louisiana aren’t exactly neighboring states, it doesn’t look good that he would commute back and forth from filming American Ultra to Batman Vs. Superman to shoot the films simultaneously.

It remains to be seen just how exactly Luthor will factor into Batman Vs Superman. Most reports have him as one of the films major villains with there being another, more physical presence to be cast. Once again it may not be that Eisenberg will be joining the production until June, but the odds seem to be point that way. What ever happens withe Eisenberg’s schedule in regards to Batman Vs.
