Jeph Loeb’s WOLVERINE VS. SABRETOOTH Gets The Motion Comic Treatment

by

wolverine 2Marvel Knights Animation and Shout! Factory have revealed details about their newest motion comic, hitting stores on January 14th. Jeph Loeb (Marvel‘s head of TV) and Simone Bianchi‘s story showing the knock-down, drag-out brawl between Wolverine and Sabretooth will be the next motion comic DVD release.

Following hot off the heels of Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk, the little Canadian berserker will now be facing off against one of his own villains. The DVD will feature a new retrospective about the comic and bringing the story to life for the small screen, complete with interviews with Loeb and Bianchi. The synopsis for the adventure promises a big battle:

Superstars Jeph Loeb (TV’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Simone Bianchi (Astonishing X-Men) team up for the biggest, best and, quite possibly, last battle between Wolverine and Sabretooth! These sworn foes have been locked in an endless grudge match that goes back longer than either can remember – or even imagine. The key to victory is eons old, and it’s certain to rock their world. Think you’ve seen Marvel’s fiercest go toe-to-toe before? Those were just warm-ups!

Shout! Factory has been choosing some great stories to adapt with Marvel Knights, so this one should be a real treat. The retrospective special features are very well down and offer some great insights from the creative teams. Those are almost worth the price of admission alone.
