Jennifer Lawrence Talks About Getting Naked For Days Of Future Past
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the few First Class cast members to make the cut for Bryan Singer‘s Days of Future Past. The Academy Award winning actress will reprise her role as Mystique in Singer‘s inbetweequel bringing the older and newer X-Men together for the first time. Unlike her first outing though, Lawrence will be rocking only the signature blue body paint. The actress spoke with SciFiNow about going commando for the upcoming film.
We’ve seen a few Twitter teasers from Singer regarding Lawrence‘s new look, but the actress touched on how the character is going to be different in more ways than one:
I’m naked. But when I do get to wear clothes, I love the ’70s outfits. Some of the Mystique look is a little different, but we’re still using the same paint. But she’s different in this film too. She was struggling – like a lot of normal humans – with the way she looked, and she was covered up a lot in the first movie, but this time she is Mutant and proud.
The Mystique look we’ve seen for Days of Future Past looks like a good midway pointt for what we’ve seen in First Class and how Rebecca Romijn looked in the original X-Men films. From the set photos we’ve seen and the teasers we’ve heard from the cast, it sounds like Lawrence will get a lot more action this time around as well. While it may have taken her a little time to get used to working in her birthday suit, it seems like she got through it all pretty well. What do you think about seeing Lawrence portray an all-around new Mystique? Are you glad to see a “Mutant and Proud” take on the blue femme fatale?
