Jason Momoa Says The Search For The King Of The Seven Seas Will Continue; Denies AQUAMAN Rumor
With last night’s heartbreaking news that Batman Vs Superman will be delayed by almost a year, fans are in need of some good news. Depending on how you feel about certain actors, casting news can be good or bad news. This leads us to a recent rumor that Jason Momoa was going to be cast as Aquaman in Batman Vs. Superman. Previously, Momoa’s name had been attached to playing Doomsday and even the Martian Manhunter, but he he quickly dispelled the rumors.
Now he is on the denial again. While at the Sundance Film Festival, Momoa sat down with MTV News where he was asked about the rumor that he will be putting on the orange chainmail. “I get this all the time. It’s just a rumor., I swear,” he said. Momoa went on to say that the rumor is flattering, and went on to add, “Someday I’ll probably play a superhero, but the opportunity hasn’t (popped up quite yet).”
According to The Hollywood Momoa is still in final negotiations to join the film, however the role is still unknown. Right now the three names that have popped up are Doomsday, Martian Manhinter and Aquaman, but there is no strong indication one way or the other which of the three it is.
