Jason Clarke In Final Talks To Play John Connor In TERMINATOR: GENESIS
Last week, we learned that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, along with Brie Larson, was at the top of the list to play Sarah Connor in the upcoming robot reboot Terminator: Genesis. The film is slated to be a total start-over for the franchise, which is being distributed by Paramount. The cast is beginning to come together as Jason Clarke is in final talks to play John Connor, the leader of the human resistance that is fighting against the rule of machines in the future.
Clarke has impressed many in recent years, having stood out in Zero Dark Thirty and, more recently, the remake of The Great Gatsby and White House Down. He will also be taking part in the anticipated sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Child 44.
Terminator: Genesis will be directed by Alan Taylor, who recently brought us the hit Marvel film Thor: The Dark World. He has also spent some time directing a few episodes of Game of Thrones, which is likely the reason Emilia Clarke is the front-runner for the female lead. It is expected that Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as the main cyborg.
