James Mangold And Hugh Jackman In Talks For Another WOLVERINE
Even though Hugh Jackman has ominously teased on a few occasions that Days of Future Past may be his final outing as Wolverine, it is being reported that the actor and director James Mangold are in talks to come back for a brand new film featuring everyone’s favorite Adamantium laced mutant. Deadline is reporting that Twentieth Century Fox has started negotiations with the duo for the new installment.
According to Deadline, now that all the dust has settled and The Wolverine clawed its way to $413 million worldwide (second highest grossing X-Men movie ever) Fox is eager to have Mangold back for the third standalone Wolverine film. Right now the only things known is that Mangold will write a treatment of the film and Lauren Shuler Donner, the woman who has overseen all the X-Men films, will produce. Since Mangold when for the Japanese saga for his first outing, there’s no telling where he’ll go next. Maybe he’ll do something completely original? The Wolverine was a pretty good film (except for the last 20 minutes or so in my opinion) so it will be interesting to see how this unfolds and what the director may or may not do. What do you think about Mangold and Jackman teaming up again?
