Jaimie Alexander Has Been Talking To WB About A BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Role

jaimie alexander bannerHere’s some pretty surprising news to close out the day, Jaimie Alexander has had a meeting or two with WB about the Man of Steel sequel. Bleeding Cool spotted a Tweet from a Forbes‘ movie blogger who was at an AMC panel where Alexander was a guest during Stan Lee’s ComiKaze this evening.

According to reporter Mark Hughes, Alexander has “been have conversations with WB/DC.” She claims to know a few things about the film’s story as well.

Hughes also says the panel revealed that it was very likely that Ben Affleck would be directing the solo Batman film and possibly a Justice League movie after he’s introduced as Batman in the upcoming sequel. Now that last part isn’t too big of a surprise, but the Alexander news sure is a shocker. There’s been a rumor circulating the last few months that the film was looking for a secret female character who could possibly be Wonder Woman. Alexander has been a fan-favorite choice for the role and has said on numerous occasions she’d like to do it as long as the story is good and it presents a strong female hero. To add a little fuel to the fire, she Tweeted this while I was writing:

Things must be pretty serious if 1) Alexander is talking about it in public and 2) she is even allowed to mention it while out in a comic book movie news hungry crowd as those in attendance of Stan Lee‘s comic book convention. Whether it happens and it’s a large role or just a small one, there’s a real possibility she could be hopping over from Marvel to DC for a little something. I don’t see Alexander playing roles for both DC and Marvel if the DC role isn’t a sizable one. She’s confirmed we’ll see more Sif down the line and that there would probably be a third Thor film, so it will be interesting to see if she ends up doing things for both companies around the same time. This news is hitting hard and fast, so we may hear a little more on it in the next little while. What do you think about Alexander being in talks with WB for a mysterious Batman vs. Superman? Do you think this could be our Wonder Woman?
